What inspired you to give this talk at WordCamp?
I enjoy being part of the WordPress community and am always looking to do more. Speaking at a WordCamp has been on my WordPress bucket list and I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity.
How did you discover WordPress?
I built my first company website using Joomla but it wasn’t very good for blogging. I found WordPress while searching for a good blogging platform and soon after started developing everything on it.
How has WordPress Or WordCamp impacted you?
WordPress has been putting food on my family’s table since 2010. I’ve learned a great deal about web development from the WordPress community and wouldn’t be where I am today without it.
How do you primarily work with WordPress?
Between 2010 and 2015, I provided web design and development services through my company, FastLine Media. Since the end of 2015, we have switched gears and are focusing 100% of our time on developing plugins and themes for the WordPress ecosystem such as Beaver Builder.
What does the WordCamp theme Discovery mean to you?
Discovery in the context of WordPress to me means finding new things you weren’t currently aware of that can help you achieve your goals. It’s amazing to me how many solutions are available these days that weren’t available 5 – 10 year ago.
