I love all things technology and constantly look for new ways to improve my skills as a creative. I love to shoot photos and I&#8217;m a habitual doodler\u2026 I pretty much just love creating. I believe creativity is a gift that will go away if not used. I cherish it too much to let it go. I have the heart of a teacher and love leading others down paths that will make them better creatives and technologists.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m currently the lead web designer and developer at <a href=\"http:\/\/tytaniumideas.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tytanium Ideas<\/a>, an amazing social media marketing company in Lincoln California. I\u2019m glad to be a part of the Tytanium Ideas family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019re thrilled Jon will be speaking at WordCamp Sacramento 2016 on A Full Stack WordPress Project Workflow!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Speaker Q&amp;A With Jon<\/h2>\n<p>To help you learn even more about Jon, we asked him to answer a few questions for us, some WordPress-related, and some others we think you&#8217;ll appreciate \ud83d\ude42 Be sure to give him a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jontrujillo\" target=\"_blank\">shout out on Twitter<\/a> and don\u2019t forget to use our hashtag <strong>#wcsac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>What inspired you to give this talk at WordCamp?<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working on my process for a while and thought I&#8217;d share some of the things I&#8217;ve picked up over the years. I hope that this talk will give others the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and Improve on the principals I&#8217;ve developed. I also plan on sharing some of the really useful tools that have become invaluable to getting sites approved built and deployed.<\/p>\n<h3>How did you discover WordPress?<\/h3>\n<p>I discovered WordPress in the early-mid 00s after trying the other open source CMSs (Drupal, Joomla\/Mambo).<\/p>\n<h3>How has WordPress Or WordCamp impacted you?<\/h3>\n<p>WordPress and WordCamp have both impacted my life in a huge way. First, I get to work with WordPress almost every day to build sites that help clients have a direct impact on their business and how they serve their customers. Last year&#8217;s WordCamp Sacramento gave me the opportunity to speak and share a bit about Local Development. It was an incredible experience that allowed me to meet some really great people.<\/p>\n<h3>How do you primarily work with WordPress?<\/h3>\n<p>I primarily build websites for customers with WordPress. They are generally small business sites but I&#8217;ve also had the opportunity to develop sites for Churches and Non-Profits. I have some plans for other ways to use WordPress in the future but we&#8217;ll see where those plans go.<\/p>\n<h3>What does the WordCamp theme Discovery mean to you?<\/h3>\n<p>I think that the theme discovery is awesome. For me, it means that as a group of people all working with WordPress we all have different experiences giftings and talents. WordCamp gives us the opportunity to discover new ways to use WordPress from a variety if different points of view.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the latest book you read?<\/h3>\n<p>The Bible \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h3>What is your favorite restaurant? Favorite menu item?<\/h3>\n<p>D&#8217;Aurelios in Ft. Bragg. The Lasagna and Pesto are both awesome!<\/p>\n<h3>What TV series are you current binging on\/into?<\/h3>\n<p>Just finished Stranger Things, but I&#8217;m looking forward to Daredevil, Luke Cage &amp; Iron Fist<\/p>\n<h3>What do you do for fun?<\/h3>\n<p>Spend time with my Family. watch movies.
