Anca Mosoiu is the founder of Tech Liminal<\/a>, where people with various skills and backgrounds come together to learn and build using technology. She is a programmer and consultant who enjoys complex, large-scale technology projects, where her curiosity and ability to translate between technical and non-technical helps teams get things done. Her enterprise clients include the Lawrence Berkeley Lab, Cisco Systems, Nike and Sony.<\/p>\n Anca graduated from MIT, where she studied computer science.<\/p>\n We\u2019re thrilled Anca will be speaking at WordCamp Sacramento 2016 on WordPress and the Enterprise!<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n To help you learn even more about Anca, we asked her to answer a few questions for us, some WordPress-related, and some others we think you’ll appreciate \ud83d\ude42 Be sure to give her a shout out on Twitter<\/a> and don\u2019t forget to use our hashtag #wcsac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I want to have a conversation about how WordPress can be used to empower people in large organizations to share data with each other and the world. This is a topic I’m very passionate about, and WordCamp is a venue where lots of people from different organizations will gather.<\/p>\n I first installed WordPress in 2005, when I was looking for alternatives to Moveable Type. It wasn’t useful for me at the time, but a year or so later, a friend needed help with her WordPress site. I peeked at the datamodel and how templates worked, and haven’t left since.<\/p>\n The first WordCamp I went to, I spent 45 minutes at the Happiness Bar with Alex King figuring out how to syndicate posts across sites in WordPress MU. I was amazed by his kindness and patience, and very grateful for that introduction to the larger WordPress community.<\/p>\n I believe that Open Source Software and the communities around each project are a vital resource to humanity’s ability to explore and create – and what we have here with WordPress is truly exemplary and welcoming. <\/p>\n I use WordPress as “just enough technology” to help people and organizations improve their communications and business process. This entails developing themes and plugins; training designers, engineers, publishers and managers ; and fostering community so people are more likely to share ideas and success.<\/p>\n Discovery is about of identifying the landscape which surrounds the goal. It’s about making connections with people, and finding new ideas or approaches. <\/p>\n Ron Chernow’s Hamilton<\/em>.<\/p>\n I’m a big fan of noodles of all kinds.<\/p>\n Steven Universe.<\/p>\n I organize and participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) events for kids and adults.
