Demystifying WordPress Multisite: When Is Multisite A Good Choice, And When Is It Not?
Why Is This Important?
At DealerTrend, we have used WordPress Multisite since it was introduced. We made a lot of mistakes early on that I still see people making today. My hope is to help people get the most out of Multisite to be more productive as opposed to creating a mess and wishing they never heard of it in the first place. Multisite is very powerful when used correctly and for the right application and it is important to know when and when not to use it.
How Did You Discover WordPress?
There were a few digital marketing podcasts that I listened to from 2004 through 2007. As WordPress started to gain traction, it came up repeatedly in these podcasts so I decided to give it a try, and never looked back.
How Do You Use WordPress?
My company has created a WordPress plugin for car dealers to display their inventory. We, of course, use WordPress for all of our company sites, and I have helped friends and family build sites on WordPress.
How Has WordPress Impacted You?
WordPress has allowed us to exist and be competitive in a very difficult industry.
What Do You Do When Not Working?
When not working, you’ll find me hanging out with my daughter or in the mountains around Reno and Lake Tahoe. Mountain biking, snowshoeing, hiking, or just enjoying the beach at Tahoe. Of course, there is always a fun WordPress project to work on since WordPress is more fun than work.
