The Entire WordCamp Speaker Roster (And What’s Next)

WordCamp Sacramento Speakers

Did you know that there is a two year term limit for being a WordCamp lead organizer? After being the lead organizer for WordCamp Sacramento 2016 and 2017, I reached my term limit, which means that this year, my primary role is advising and speaker wrangling.

As Speaker Wrangler, I’m in charge of managing the speakers and the curriculum for the event and I am so thrilled with our speaker roster for 2018 and the awesome collection of sessions we’re bringing to you.

All of our 2018 Speakers — many local to the greater Sacramento region and several traveling from far away — have been announced and you can learn more about them on the Speakers page.

And, there is so much more to share with you…

So What’s Next?

First, the Call For Volunteers opened yesterday. Volunteers receive free admission to the event, a special volunteer tee, an invite to the VIP dinner on Friday night, and more. There are limited positions available and they go fast! So if you’re interested in volunteering, now’s the time to let us know.

Second… we’ve got some BIG THINGS coming up, so if you haven’t signed up for 2018 event notifications, do it!

Tickets go on sale MONDAY, JUNE 25, 2018

WordCamp Sacramento is happening September 15-16, 2018 at the Sacramento Convention Center. In 2015, 2016, and 2017, we completely sold out and had to turn people away, so don’t dilly-dally on securing your ticket.

Watch The Blog

Over the next week or so, you’ll also want to watch the blog closely for three special announcements:

  • A complete list of the sessions for the two mixed tracks.
  • The entire brand new, two-day Beginner Track line up.
  • The full WordCamp Sacramento 2018 schedule so you can start planning your sessions!

Just as in the years prior, all three tracks/rooms will run on the exact same schedule, so you are free to move between them as you wish throughout the event — this way you can pick and choose the sessions that work best for you and your skill level.

We’re also going to be noting in the session description the skill level of each session as provided by the speaker: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

Hope to see you at WordCamp!

WordCamp Sacramento 2018 is over. Check out the next edition!
