This year however, we&#8217;ve changed up the <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/\">official schedule<\/a> to bring you an all new WordPress Beginner Track spanning two full days!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>The Beginner Track Structure<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Beginner Track stretches across both Saturday and Sunday<\/strong> \u2014 and the sessions follow the same schedule as the rest of WordCamp, so you can move freely between all three tracks as you wish.<\/p>\n<h3>Saturday Sessions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Saturday Beginner Track sessions are all about how to use WordPress<\/strong>. From themes, creating pages, adding media, publishing blog posts, and getting your settings just right, each session of the day will walk you through a different aspect of the WordPress back-end and how it works.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be learning from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/jennifer-bourn\/\">Jennifer Bourn<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/brian-bourn\/\">Brian Bourn<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/natalie-bourn\/\">Natalie Bourn<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/emily-lema\/\">Emily Lema<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/stewart-savage\/\">Stewart Savage<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/tyler-smith\/\">Tyler Smith<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/heather-hogan\/\">Heather Hogan<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/jeremy-hawes\/\">Jeremy Hawes<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/michael-helmke\/\">Michael Helmke<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Saturday lineup of sessions is perfect for anyone who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wants to learn how to use WordPress<\/li>\n<li>Knows a bit about using WordPress, but wants to get more comfortable with it<\/li>\n<li>Has been put in charge of a WordPress site or is required to work on\/in a WordPress site as part of their job<\/li>\n<li>Wants to make sure they&#8217;re taking care of their site the right way<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have a WordPress website or blog, you can bring a laptop and follow along with each session on your own site, but it is not required. <strong>You do not need a laptop or any kind of device to follow along with the sessions and learn.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> There will be Q&amp;A opportunities in every session, but if you need specific help with an issue on your website or blog, the best place to get that help isn&#8217;t in the sessions, but in the Happiness Bar, our free WordPress Help Desk that is open throughout the entire event.<\/p>\n<h3>Sunday Sessions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Sunday Beginner Track sessions are all about what to do with your WordPress website or blog<\/strong>.
