A technology hobbyist his whole life, he became familiar with WordPress while working at a digital marketing agency. He enjoyed working with WordPress so much that after a year and a half at the digital marketing agency, he left to become a full-time web developer.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re thrilled to have Tyler onboard as a speaker at WordCamp Sacramento 2018 asked a few questions to help you get to know more about him. Check out our mini interview with Tyler below:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the topic of your WordCamp talk?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.sacramento.wordcamp.org\/session\/widgets-and-menus\/\">How To Use WordPress Widgets And Menus<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do you think this is important?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learning to manage a site&#8217;s appearance, widgets and menus are fundamental skills for managing WordPress sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s your WordPress origin story?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During college, I worked a part-time job as a marketer at a small company where I helped manage their WordPress website.
