Alrighty folks! I have the first of many WordCamp photos and they’re going to be published over the next few days, highlighting each of the volunteer photographers’ images with you. WordCamp Sacramento 2018 is officially complete, and it was an incredible weekend of WordPress. This year we had a lot of first time WordCamp attendees and were excited to hear that they found the event helpful to their WordPress education. We also saw many familiar faces from previous WordCamps, and as an organizer, this excites me to know that this is an event many reattend.
Now, as we wrap up the final pieces of this event, we thought we would take a look back at everything that went into this WordCamp. Officially we began discussing WordCamp 2018 right after the closing remarks of 2017. In January the fun begins, and we gather our team of WordCamp Organizers and start scheduling, planning, designing, and assembling all things WordCamp.
Below you’ll find the details of almost every aspect of the event and even some behind-the-scenes information.
It was an incredible weekend of WordPress!
WordCamp Sacramento 2018 is a wrap! All of us organizers and volunteers are still excited about how well the event went and all of the amazing people which were there.
The speakers did outstanding jobs delivering their presentations and to our volunteers who did an effortless job to keep the event running smoothly.
I don’t know about you, but I like information and details and knowing what to expect, especially when it comes to attending live events.
I know that one of the worst things ever as an attendee is getting to an event — where you’re going to be for the whole day — and not have something you need!
Between the organizers, attendees, sponsors, and speakers, we’ve got almost 500 people to care for, and while we are doing our best to serve your needs, we also know that we do have some limitations and ask you to be understanding.

On one hand, it’s hard to believe that WordCamp Sacramento 2018 is happening this weekend. Yet, on the other, we’re neck deep in final details, errands, and communications, and we’re ready for it to just be here already!
