Justin Doyle is the Lead Designer at Tytanium Ideas Inc. He has about 13 years experience in web design. He worked for a high-end marketing company based out of Utah before starting his own company and then selling it to Tytanium Ideas in 2017. Now he spends his days applying his skills to large design projects that help scale businesses.
We’re thrilled to have Justin onboard as a speaker at WordCamp Sacramento 2018 asked a few questions to help you get to know more about him. Check out our mini interview with Justin below:
What is the topic of your WordCamp talk?
How To Design With UI/UX In Mind
Why do you think this is important?
Making the experience of the website memorable is more important than what the website says. Websites are scanned, not read, which leads to users often forgetting the data and content therein, but they will remember how it made them feel. Making your page stand out from other websites on the internet is crucial. The UI/UX is a part of every website, it just comes down to whether or not it was done effectively for the audience of that site.
What’s your WordPress origin story?
I started in high school with graphic design and was asked by some family and friends to start coding websites due to some of the opportunities that were arising. I started to look for a quality platform(s) to publish a site too and in my research came across WordPress. With the available tools at the time (it was ’05/’06) it seemed like a good place to start.
How has WordPress impacted your world?
Since I started, I have and still, constantly am testing website tools out there and always find myself defaulting back to WordPress due to its versatility, scalability, expansiveness, and core ability to create a solid platform. It has helped me to expand my knowledge and create truly beautiful pieces of work for companies all over the world.
