WordCamp Sacramento 2018 Tickets are officially on sale!
WordCamp Sacramento, the only WordCamp in Northern California, is a truly inclusive community event that invites and welcomes anyone and everyone who is interested in or who uses WordPress in any way to come together for a weekend to collaborate, share, converse, learn, and grow.
This year we’re bringing you 44 sessions, including a brand new, two day Beginner Track, and we want YOU to join us.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know what size t-shirt to order?
Getting the right t-shirt size shouldn’t be a painful experience. It also shouldn’t be a confusing experience. That’s why we published our t-shirt information, including the brands of our t-shirts, the sizing recommendations, and the sizing charts right from the vendor so you have everything you need to make an informed decision about what size t-shirt to order.
Personally, our experience has been that conference shirts usually run small, especially in women’s sizes, even if they say “true to size.” So ladies, consider sizing up one size.
What about lunch?
Last year the food trucks were such a hit with our WordCampers we decided to do them again. We don’t want to spill all the beans about lunch this year, but let’s just say you’re going to love it even more than last year. You’re still going to get to choose from a wide array of food options, with vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. You’ll also be able to customize your food order if you have other food sensitivities.
What happens if I buy a ticket and then I can’t go to WordCamp?
Unfortunately, attendees do buy tickets and due to unforeseen circumstances end up not being able to come to WordCamp. While tickets are non-refundable, you do have a two options:
- Embrace the theme of WordCamp, Community, and pay it forward. Give someone else your ticket at no cost, or sponsor a student to attend for free.
- Connect with another WordPresser who needs a WordCamp ticket, sell them yours, and update the ticket details on the WordCamp website with the link you were given when you registered. Tickets are transferable only through September 9, 2018. After September 9, no edits/transfers will be able to be made to purchased tickets. After August 27, no t-shirt size changes are guaranteed.
When the event gets closer, we’ll publish a blog post about the transfer of tickets. You can comment on that post to connect with other WordPressers.
Can you tell me more about the Beginner Track?
This year the Beginner Track has been expanded to two days! The Saturday Beginner Track sessions are all about how to use WordPress — from themes, creating pages, adding media, publishing blog posts, and getting your settings just right, each session of the day will walk you through a different aspect of the WordPress back-end and how it works. The Sunday Beginner Track sessions are all about what to do with your WordPress website or blog. From email marketing, local SEO, and social media, to online courses, membership sites, and blogging, you’ll learn best practices, tips and tactics, and recommendations for tools and resources.
Do I have to stay in one track?
Nope! All three tracks will run on the exact same schedule so you’ll be able to mix and match sessions, choose the ones most interesting to you, and move freely between the tracks throughout the event.
Your WordCamp roadmap is completely unique to you.
What is this new Community Sponsor Ticket?
The Community Sponsor Ticket is $100.00.
Purchasing a Community Sponsor Ticket is a way for you to give back to the local WordPress community, show your thanks, support WordCamp, and make it possible for us to continue to have a WordCamp Sacramento.
As you know, WordCamp can’t happen without the generosity of sponsors. From venue, audio/visual, and wifi costs, to catering and coffee, swag, signage and print materials, to tables and chairs, linens, snacks, registration supplies, and more, there is an enormous amount of cost involved to create, plan, and host the event — not to mention the pure time volunteered by the organizers.
Raising funds is one of the hardest parts of this event, and the Community Sponsor Tickets help make the lives easier of those volunteering anywhere from 10 to 100+ hours to make this event amazing for you.
